Kakadu Zoo moves to a new office in Warsaw Trade Tower

Pet shop retailer Kakadu Zoo has leased office space in the Warsaw Trade Tower. Its office will span 1,560 sqm. The tenant was represented during the search for a convenient location and lease negotiations by real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska.

Kakadu Zoo (formerly Kakadu) has operated in the pet industry since 1999. Its core business is the retailing of pet foods and treats, toys, care products for dogs, cats, birds, rodents and other animals. The retailer currently operates 66 brick-and-mortar stores in shopping centres and retail parks throughout Poland. It is planning to expand its chain to 72 stores by the end of 2022, followed by around 20 new openings next year. Kakadu Zoo is also active in e-commerce. Its physical stores also sell pets that are constantly looked after by qualified animal carers and veterinarians.

“Kakadu Zoo was ready to relocate from its current warehouse near Warsaw to a new office in the centre of Warsaw. Good transport connectivity was key to the tenant. Our task was to source and present proposals that would meet the client’s expectations,” says Joanna Bartosiewicz, Senior Associate, Office Tenant Representation, Newmark Polska. “Several factors influenced Kakadu Zoo to choose the Warsaw Trade Tower - these include good transport connections, favourable lease conditions, efficient floor utilization and the landlord’s upgrade plans for the building. We are pleased that Kakadu Zoo trusted us and we were able to support it in its growth journey. Excellent cooperation with Globalworth further facilitated the process,” she adds.

“Kakadu Zoo is yet another company that has recognized the potential of our flagship project in the capital and appreciated the high standard and multiple amenities within or near the building. Tenants are attracted to the Warsaw Trade Tower on account of its technical improvements, both completed and planned, and want to grow their business in this location,” says Anna Zygmunt, Junior Asset Management & Leasing Specialist, Globalworth Poland.

The Warsaw Trade Tower is one of the tallest office buildings in the capital. It boasts a prime location at 51 Chłodna Street, close to Daszyńskiego Roundabout. Its multiple tenant amenities include stores, cafés, a kindergarten and a fitness club. It offers round-the-clock security and has been BREEAM Excellent for a range of sustainable solutions. Its special feature is its unique lobby with a grand piano in the centre.
