ASSA ABLOY Mercor Doors, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, an international leader in complex security systems for properties, renewed its lease contract for 619 sq m in the A2 building in Arkonska Business Park in Gdansk. Knight Frank acted on behalf of Cromwell Property Group in the leasing process.

ASSA ABLOY Mercor Doors is the leading manufacturer of fire-proof steel doors, wooden doors, profile walls and doors, anti-fire curtains and gates, and separation without fire protection in Poland. The company occupies an office of 619 sq m in the A2 building of Arkonska Business Park, where it moved into in 2008 as one of the first tenants. ASSA ABLOY Mercor Doors is part of the Swedish capital group ASSA ABLOY specializing in property security systems. The company’s most recognizable brands include, apart from ASSA and Abloy: Yale, effeff, TESA or HID.

"ASSA ABLOY cares about each aspect of its enterprise. We want our office to be comfortable for the employees and representative during client meetings. We are pleased that during the leasing process we have communicated with the new property owner and negotiated to adjust the current premises to the new operational needs of the company," said Agnieszka Matulaniec of ASSA ABLOY Mercor Doors.

Arkonska Business Park is an excellent location to run a business, well-communicated, and offering a high workplace standard to its tenants. The complex consists of 5 A-Class office properties, located in 6 Arkonska Street, in the vicinity of the PKP Gdansk Oliwa train station and SKM Przymorze station. Since September 2017, Cromwell Property Group represents the owner of building A1 and A2 in Poland. Both properties offer a total of 11,300 sq m of office leasing space with numerous parking lots (over and underground), a bicycle parking, lockers and shower for cyclists. The complex also includes an on-site canteen, and a hotel with conference rooms in the vicinity.

“The building’s owner did everything to retain the prestigious tenant ASSA ABLOY. The lease renewal is also an opportunity for the tenant to have the current space fully upgraded so that it better serves the staff for years to come,” said Michał Rafałowicz, Head for the Pomeranian Region at Cresa Poland, the world’s largest tenant-only commercial real estate firm.

The tenant was represented in the transaction by global tenant-only real estate advisory firm Cresa.
